The WNP will from now on be known as Propel, with the party returning to its original name.
Propel leader Neil McEvoy MS said:
“There has been a long running dispute over the party’s name and so the Board has taken the decision to return to our original name of Propel.
“Propel is a verb, which is a word used to describe action. And the verb 'propel' means to drive something forward, often with a lot of force. This seems the perfect word to describe our party. We are action orientated and we are seeking to propel Wales forward at the elections in May, when we will push to win our first seats under the Propel banner.”
