We the undersigned object to the loss of the green field at Cherrydale Road, Ely for house building. The proposal is an overdevelopment and will deprive the local community of a valued open leisure space. We object to the destruction of trees and the habitats of wildlife in an otherwise urban setting. We object to the parking and traffic difficulties the development will cause. Finally, we object on the grounds of health and safety, with asbestos lurking under the surface of the land, which at present is safely covered. Disturbance of the land will pose a danger to neighbours to the land. We call on councillors to reject application 21/01785/MNR.
